As someone who suffers from anxiety, I am always super hard on myself. I feel like things have to be perfect because if they aren't someone will look at me crazy or think stupid things about me. The funny thing is that no one will care about the small stuff I freak out about on the daily. We tend to be so hard on ourselves trying to fit the perception of being all put together. I'm going to be the first to admit that I'm a mess and I will do things that people will not always agree with, but it's no reason to beat myself up over what others think. We need to say to ourselves every morning " I will try my best." We need to give ourselves the benefit of the doubt and understand that we are NOT perfect. We have wants and needs just like other people, and we can't do everything that everyone else does. It is more than okay to go at your pace. For my fellow friends who suffer from anxiety, if you manage to get out of bed and push through the day. You did it! If you were able to push through your fears and being uncomfortable, you made an accomplishment. We will push ourselves beyond our limit and then worry about things that won't even matter tomorrow. So the next time you're having one of those days where you feel like you can't do anything right because I have those days often. I will say to myself " I am alive and well, I am here, I am trying, and that should be more than enough." Just repeating those words usually help me feel a little better about my situation or when I'm a little too hard on myself. Remember we are human and take a deep breath and just know I'm proud of you if no one else is.

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. ~ Howard Thurman

Psalm 118:14-16

The LORD is my strength and my defense ; he has become my salvation.Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things! The LORD’s right hand is lifted high; the LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!”
