What do you say about you?

There was one time I was on the phone with one of my friends. I was in the mirror doing my hair and doing my makeup. I can only speak for myself, but I talk to myself sometimes. I never noticed how I didn't say good things about myself. Talking down to myself was a normal thing for me because, I wasn't happy with myself at all. However, you start to speak these things over yourself and start to feel that way and believe the things you say. Well during the moments of me complaining how I didn't like this and that about myself. My friend cut me off and said: "Why do you think those things about yourself ?" I responded well because they are true. He told me " They are only true because you allow them to be." Well after he said those things to me it was almost like a reality check. I need to speak more life into myself. God worked so hard on me, and I can't imagine how sad he must feel to hear me say these things about myself. I would complain about not having good skin, weight issues, not being able to do my hair like other girls, etc. At the end of the day, none of these things were vital, and they were all things that had solutions. We can't compare how we look to someone else. Skin issues well remember you're still beautiful. Real beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Don't ever think less of yourself because we all have something to offer. Looks aren't everything because they don't last forever. So next time you're in the mirror speak life into yourself. Tell yourself you will be successful, you are beautiful, you have potential, and you are amazing. Positivity starts with changing your outlook on life and yourself. Don't forget you can't live a positive lifestyle with a skeptical mind. If you ever get the urge to talk down to yourself. Immediately, just say a prayer and ask God to teach you how to love yourself the way he loves you.
