I never understood why we tend to feel guilty when we put ourselves first. It's almost like when you want to take a step back from helping people to get you right it's almost like people get upset because they become accustomed to sucking the life out of you. Well, I'm here to tell you that deserve some time to regroup and gain some clarity. It's nothing like being able to take time out for yourself to love who you are again. When you become so focused on helping other people sometimes, you start to pick up the negative self-talk they had. You have to make time for yourself and protect your peace and replenish your mind with good things. Self-happiness is so important in our lives. We have to make sure we are content with ourselves before we help anyone else. We can't depend on others to make us feel good because we have to live with ourselves for the rest of our lives. There's only one you; that's why it's vital that we make sure we tend to our needs. It's more than okay to put yourself first before anyone else. We have to VALUE ourselves, and we do take that time out to learn who we are and spend time taking care of our needs, then I believe we become fully equipped to be a light and share some positivity with others. So remember to love yourself today and remember to walk away from anything that isn't serving you happiness. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO DO THAT!! Stop allowing people to make you feel guilty for wanting to put yourself first. People will only do what you allow so remember if you're enabling them to suck you dry then you can only blame yourself. I'd love if you took some time out and treated yourself and did a few things that make you HAPPY. Self-Love, self-care, self-value, etc. are so important. Please love yourself and remember that God work so hard on you. Yes, he wants us to be a light to others but he wants us to take care of ourselves too.
