Love is .....

Ever have one of the moments when you look in the mirror for a long time and just start at yourself? Do you stare until you get uncomfortable because it's starting to feel like an out of body experience ... It almost seems like you can see who you are? And it scares you. I love those moments because each flaw in myself I'm learning to love them and grow from them. Each time I stand in front of the mirror, I'll find something new I love about myself. I use to hate staring in the mirror because I was almost ashamed of the person I was. I was devaluing you myself and lower myself to be with people who could care less about me. I was looking for love in all the wrong places. It felt like when it came to relationships it was like pain had a thing for me. It's crazy because I didn't realize all the love I was looking for was right in front of me. It was me the person that God worked so hard on and for me to not love myself like I should've been probably made God pretty upset. I would seek validation from other people because I didn't see the potential I had in myself. I started to read about God's love for me, and I would read positive self-love books. I would be my cheerleader and read affirmations every morning. " I love the person I am becoming" " I am worthy of great love" " I deserved to be loved fully and completely." I would read these affirmations and say them out loud until I believed them. I have my days where I can be hard on myself, and then I remember that I AM NOT PERFECT. Love is not perfect, but it's beautifully flawed like me. Love begins with me, and the rest falls together. When you love yourself to the fullest capacity, you won't ever settle for love than less than you deserve. Love is you! You can't love anyone else until you love yourself and the flaws you come with. Take a moment and look at yourself in the mirror and see how long it takes until you see the real you. Accept who you are and love who you are because there is ONLY one you. Your love is ONE OF A KIND!!!!! Remember that always.
