It's crucial that we always speak in love. However, it doesn't always happen because we are human and we are full emotions. I understand that there will be moments of frustration, sadness, etc. that will bring moments that you won't always feel like speaking the truth in love. I am working very hard on talking to people the same way I would want them to speak to me.I am learning that people are more open to talking to people who are inviting and kind. I know there were times some people felt like they couldn't talk to me or express how they were feeling about something because I would have this persona that I was unavailable and rude. It's important that when you speak, you are speaking in a positive way and that you aren't reflecting negative talk because people will constantly remember you as being that one person who complains, and speaks all the time negatively. Then you will get to a point where no one will want to be around you because nothing you say is uplifting. It's vital that we are speaking things that will bring love and positivity because we deal with enough negative stuff in this world already. If you continue to be encouraging and other people see how you are just full of life and positivity, they will want to be the change as well. You teach people how to talk to you and how they will listen to you. So let's start making sure we are speaking good things and if there's an issue that needs to be addressed approach it in a way that people will appreciate you for coming to them or express how you feel and help them understand how it affected you in the process. Speak the truth in love and give people your undivided attention when they are talking. It's obscene to be distracted doing other things when someone is trying to talk to you or if you consistently cut them off while they are working to express themselves. So just remember these things and try to practice them with people you interact with daily and see how your life changes especially with communicating to others in a nice way.

Ephesians 4:15 New Living Translation (NLT)

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
