It's always nice when you meet someone, and you've felt like you've known them for years. There's no sense of nervousness because you instantly feel connected to them in some way or form. We don't come across experiences like this often, but when we do, we never want it to end. I am such a firm believer in soul mates, and it doesn't even have to be a lover kind of soul mate. It could be your best friend or even a cousin. I love coming in contact with genuine and authentic people who just aren't scared to be who they are, and they are just RAW with their soul. I am almost sure when I know someone isn't going to around long in my life. It's almost like it's not a content feeling and you just feel like they have some role to play in your life and be gone. Sometimes I can be wrong with my thoughts that's why it's important to pray and ask God to help recognize people like that. However, back to having this genuine connection you feel like you can be your true self. I know for myself I'm very goofy, weird, and there's never a moment I'm not laughing. I've been in friendships and relationships where I felt like this didn't appreciate the real me and almost wanted to change me. The older I'm getting I'm learning to love who I am and enjoy my silly side. I told myself that the next relationship/friendship I try to pursue they will have to love and accept all parts of me. I mean, of course, I'll compromise on some things. I honestly believe that we all have soul mates and that we all will find someone that loves us and our heart will feel like it's at home. Home is usually considered a place that human beings are most comfortable. If my soul doesn't feel at home, then I know God didn't necessarily put you in my life to move forward with, and I'm okay with that. I've learned to be so comfortable in my season of loneliness that I can walk away from anything that doesn't serve purpose or happiness. I am still single, but I'm making friends because building that foundation before taking it to the next step is important. The natural connection was very instant, and I believe there's some real purpose behind it. I suggest that we shouldn't settle for just anyone let's make sure our souls and heart feel that tangible connection.

A soul connection is a resonance between two people who respond to the essential beauty of each other's individual natures, behind their facades, and who connect on this deeper level. This kind of mutual recognition provides catalyst for a potent alchemy. It is a sacred alliance whose purpose is to help both partners discover and realize their deepest potentials. - John Welwood
